UNWIND . NOURISH . RECONNECT
A retreat for you to pause, breathe and reconnect with yourself. Through bespoke movement, stillness, nourishing food and the beauty of nature, give yourself space to slow down, restore and find your way back to what fulfils you.
We would love to invite you to our next Mindbodyretreat, ‘Be’, taking place from Friday 29th–Sunday 31st January 2027, in the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Boconnion, Cornwall.
An invitation to stop. To listen. To nourish. To simply be.
Two nights from £405pp

UNWIND.
This midwinter retreat is inspired by the season. Winter is a time of rest and renewal and to plant seeds for what’s to come in the more energetic, months later in the year. This is an invitation to step off the treadmill. To take a breath and give yourself the time and space to reconnect with your body, your needs and your most authentic self.
Hosted by yoga, dance and meditation teacher Lisa Stephens and chef Iain Shillito, Mindbodyretreats bring together all the things we love most about self-care: the intelligence of the body, the power of movement, the magic of stillness, the nourishment of good food and the profound effect that nature has on us all.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Boconnion, a luxurious Georgian house nestled in the Cornish countryside, this will be a few precious days away from the noise and demands of everyday life.
Whether you come alone, with your partner or with friends, you will be warmly welcomed into a relaxed, supportive and inclusive space. You don’t need to know anyone, be experienced in yoga or arrive feeling a certain way. Just come as you are.
RECONNECT.
Connect to yourself — slow down enough to hear what your body and mind are asking for.
Connect to nature — immerse yourself in the peace, beauty and grounding energy of the Cornish countryside.
Connect mind and body — through beautiful, bespoke yoga, somatic movement, breathwork and meditation.
Connect to stillness — give your nervous system permission to settle and discover the restorative power of doing less, supported by guided meditations.
Connect through nourishment — enjoy delicious, nutrient-dense food prepared by our private chef, with care, quality and wellbeing at its heart.
Connect with others — share the experience with like-minded people, whether you arrive solo, as a couple or with friends.
And perhaps, most importantly, reconnect with the part of you — your soul self — that can sometimes get lost beneath the busyness of everyday life.

MOVEMENT & MEDITATION
Bespoke yoga, awareness and movement with Lisa Stephens
Movement has been at the heart of my life and work for over two decades. I love the way that moving and bringing awareness to our bodies can change how we feel, shift our energy, release tension and bring us back into the present moment and a deeper connection to our intuition.
For this retreat, I’ll be creating a beautiful blend of yin (restorative) and yang (energy building) yoga, somatic and contemporary movement, balancing the strengthening and energising with the softening, slowing down and letting go. I will guide you through breath teachnique and meditations that quieten the mind and bring you deeper into a sense of self and spirituality if you’d like it to.
Our sessions will take place in Boconnion’s beautiful barn, with its heated floor providing a wonderfully warm and welcoming space to move, stretch, breathe and unwind.

There is something quite special about moving without needing to achieve anything; feeling the body wake up, the breath deepen and the mind grow quieter. Our practices will be thoughtfully woven around the energy and needs of the group, with plenty of options to honour your own body. An invitation to explore, release and reconnect, without pressure or expectation — simply discovering what feels good and meeting yourself exactly where you are

Our sessions will draw from:
Hatha & Ashtanga-inspired Yoga
A blend of grounding postures, flowing sequences and mindful breathwork to build strength, flexibility and focus, energising the body while releasing tension and calming the mind.
Slow, Somatic & Contemporary Movement
Gentle, intuitive movement to explore how the body feels from within, soften habitual patterns, release tension and rediscover the freedom and joy of moving.
Yin & Restorative Yoga
Deeply nourishing practices using supported postures and longer-held stretches to soften, release tension and cultivate stillness, self-awareness and a deeper mind-body connection.
Yoga Nidra, Meditation & Breathwork
Guided relaxation, meditation and conscious breathing to quieten the mind, soothe the nervous system and invite deep rest and presence.
The beauty lies in the balance: opportunities to strengthen, stretch, flow and energise, alongside moments of deep rest and stillness. We’ll breathe, move, release, soften and restore, with space to simply enjoy being in your body.
My hope is that you’ll leave not only feeling more relaxed, but with a renewed understanding of what supports your own wellbeing, along with simple practices and daily rituals that you can take home and weave into everyday life.
No previous yoga or dance experience is needed. All sessions are designed to be accessible, welcoming and adaptable to different bodies and abilities.
NOURISH . FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Beautiful food, lovingly prepared
Good food is such an important part of feeling well and is very much woven into our retreat. It nourishes us physically, brings pleasure and brings people together.

Throughout the retreat, our private chef will prepare delicious, predominantly pescatarian meals using local and organic ingredients wherever possible. Expect an abundance of fresh, seasonal, nutrient-dense ingredients, beautifully prepared dishes and food that genuinely nourishes both body and soul.
This is an opportunity to eat well, slow down and savour your food. No rushing, no thinking. Just beautiful meals, good company and the pleasure of being looked after.
REST . EXPLORE . JUST BE
On this retreat, time needn’t be filled. Everything is optional.
Wake without the usual rush, beginning with some mindful movement before enjoying a nourishing breakfast. A walk through the Cornish countryside, birdsong, a cup of tea and a good book, or simply time to yourself. There will also be guided afternoon and evening movement, meditation and deep conscious rest.
Boconnion provides the perfect setting for this kind of pause. With its Georgian elegance, peaceful grounds and surrounding countryside, it’s a world away from the everyday. A place to wander, breathe deeply and reconnect with nature — and yourself.

Time to Be.
A few days to unwind, nourish and reconnect.
No pressure to be productive or fill every moment. Just the freedom to slow down and follow what you need.
